HOOPening 2025

In a time of increasing pressure on the cultural sector, De Hoop – together with Stichting Crealisatie – offers diverse makers more than just a stage. We create space for in-depth development, networking, visibility, and growth. The selection is made by an independent committee of 3 to 5 experts, including curators from art and design fairs, gallery owners, and other field professionals. With a sharp, experimental perspective and experience within leading platforms, the committee ensures a fresh, substantive selection of makers with courage, urgency, and potential – whether emerging, underrepresented, or established. In a time of increasing pressure on the cultural sector, De Hoop, together with Stichting Crealisatie, offers diverse makers more than just a stage. This event creates space for in-depth development, networking, visibility, and growth.

The participating makers are selected by an independent committee of 3 to 5 experts, including curators from leading art and design fairs, gallery owners, and professionals from the field. With their sharp, experimental perspective and broad experience within international platforms, the committee ensures a fresh and substantive selection of makers who bring courage, urgency, and potential – whether emerging, underrepresented, or established.

Among the selected makers is Mehdi Mashayekhi, whose work explores the intersection of craftsmanship, material experimentation, and layered design. A selection of his works will be on view at De Hoop on 27 and 28 November 2025, as part of this curated exhibition.
